Ronnie Love: The Man Behind the Deliveries and the Heart of Sandbridge

Today, we want to celebrate someone special who has been a part of the Sandbridge community for the past 18 years – our beloved UPS driver, Ronnie Love.

Ronnie has been more than just a delivery man; he’s been a friend, a neighbor, and a familiar face we could all count on. Known for his incredible work ethic and enthusiasm, Ronnie always went above and beyond for our homeowners. Whether it was calling ahead to ensure a safe delivery, running up steps with heavy packages like they were nothing, or bringing treats for the dogs along his route, Ronnie did it all with a smile.

Rain or shine, he took the best care of every package, even wrapping boxes in plastic to protect them from the weather. His dedication didn’t just stop at deliveries – his kindness, charm, and genuine care made him a cherished part of our community.

Ronnie’s last day on the Sandbridge route will be Wednesday, August 21st, so there’s still time to say goodbye and thank him for all the years of service. As he retires, we know Sandbridge won’t be the same without him, but we’re excited for him to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation, fishing, golfing, and tackling those home repairs he’s been dreaming of. If you happen to see him at Lucky Oyster or Margie and Ray’s Seafood, be sure to say hello and wish him well!

Chesapeake Native Quincy Wilson: Sprinting into Olympic History

As the world turns its attention to the grand stage of the Olympics, we at Siebert Realty are beaming with pride to cheer on a local! Quincy Wilson, a Chesapeake native who grew up just a stone’s throw from Sandbridge, is set to make history this Friday as he competes in the U.S. men’s 4×400-meter relay. At just 16 years old, Quincy is about to become the youngest American male ever to compete in an Olympic track and field event—a remarkable achievement that has the entire country buzzing with excitement.

Born in Chesapeake, Quincy spent his early years soaking up the coastal charm of our area before his family moved to Maryland to pursue greater opportunities in track and field. Despite his young age, Quincy has shown tremendous dedication and talent, posting three straight times under 45 seconds in the 400 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials. While he narrowly missed qualifying for the individual 400-meter event, his outstanding performance earned him a spot on the men’s 4×400 relay team, where he will run the lead leg.

Quincy’s athletic prowess is undoubtedly a family trait. His father, Roy, played football at the U.S. Naval Academy, his mother excelled in basketball and soccer at the collegiate level, and his sister Kadence is currently a track star at James Madison University. With such a strong athletic pedigree, it’s no wonder Quincy is sprinting his way into the record books.

Quincy’s roots in Chesapeake connect him to our community, and his achievements serve as an inspiration to us all. As we prepare to watch him compete on Friday morning at 5:05 a.m. EST, we can’t help but feel a surge of patriotism and excitement.

Author Zac Hawrot has been vacationing in Sandbridge for over 10 years, and it was during one of these cherished family trips that the idea for his book was born. It all started with a simple “what if” conversation on the beach:

“What if the only access to this beach was destroyed? What would we do?”

This question led to a series of imaginative queries about the area, eventually evolving into a captivating world of mystery inspired by Sandbridge’s unique terrain.
