World War II Aircraft Take Flight!

8th Annual “Warbirds Over the Beach” at the Military Aviation Museum

 

Siebert Realty is a proud sponsor of the “Warbirds Over the Beach” in the rural area of Pungo, which is just minutes from Sandbridge Beach.  The Military Aviation Museum presents its annual WWII Air Show, so come on out and enjoy this amazing show, as well as live WWII re-enactments, military flea markets, airplane rides, delicious dinners, fun hangar dances, and great family entertainment! Among the stars of the show will be the world’s only de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito to fly since 1996!  Schedule yourself a ride in an airplane from the Second World War, satisfy your hunger at our assorted food vendors, or shop our military flea markets.  Enjoy musical entertainment, from 10:00am on Saturday and Sunday, plus a steak or chicken dinner and hangar dance Saturday night. All four of our hangars will be open for guided tours.

With over 300 re-enactors on site, representing all theatres of WWII-era operations, you will feel as if you

Interact with friendly Allied and Axis troops at their encampments, featuring vehicles, artifacts, arms, and armour.  And look skyward to observe our collection of Warbirds in their native element! Keep your eyes and ears open for regular entertainers Theresa Eaman and the Victory Belles, along with Frank Sings Frank and the Ultimate Abbott and Costello. –  Visiting warplanes arrive.
–  Re-enactors set up encampments.
–  Visit the Fighter Factory, our aircraft maintenance and restoration facility, as
they prepare the aircraft for the show
–  Explore the World War One hangar to marvel at the wood and fabric bi-planes
and tri-planes flying at the dawn of aerial combat.
–  Tour the Cottbus Luftwaffe hangar, relocated from Germany, full of our
German aircraft.
–  Inspect the reconstructed RAF control tower, moved from Goxhill, England,
where it controlled America’s first B-17 bombers to arrive in Europe in 1942.

9:00 AM   – Gates open for all. Wonderful food and souvenir vendors onsite
10:00 AM – Live musical entertainment commences
1:00 PM   – Aircraft flight operations begin
3:30 PM   – Aircraft complete flight operations
5:00 PM   – Dinner, steak or chicken (advance ticket required)
6:00 PM   – Hangar dance
9:00 PM   – Taps. Conclusion of dance.
