The ever-enchanting Thirsty Turtle is sure to be a hit on your next family vacation with its spacious and open floor plan. The upstairs Great Room has large windows, sun-filled rooms, coastal décor and is just perfect for relaxing together, watching a movie or playing a family game. The open kitchen offers plenty of space for family meals and a large island with additional seating. The dining space offers seating for the rest of the family and a cozy spot for games or puzzles. Just off of the Great Room is a screened in porch, with access to the wrap-around deck. Wings with two bedrooms and a full bath, sit on each side of the Great Room.
Downstairs is the kids’ space with bunk beds, a pullout twin and a queen sleeper sofa for comfortable TV watching. Also, there is convenient access to the laundry room and a ½ bath.
Outside, your oasis awaits with a nicely landscaped backyard and your own private swimming pool. Equipped with a TV, full-size refrigerator and sink, the pool bar is perfect for entertaining. Spend time with the kids playing and splashing, swimming some laps or just fishing on the dock-of-the-bay. After a refreshing dip, lounge poolside and soak up some sun. Bring or rent kayaks to explore Back Bay…and don’t miss those gorgeous sunsets!
When you’re ready for the beach, easy access is right across the street. Spend your day boogie boarding, jumping in the waves, searching for beautiful shells, casting your rod, watching porpoises or just enjoying the sound of the surf.
For the nature lovers, bring or rent bikes or just head down to the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, a ¼ mile south for a ride to False Cape. For the serious cyclists … make it a day trip to the North Carolina OBX. The Refuge is full of trails for amateur and professional hikers too, don’t forget your binoculars for some great bird watching.
No matter how you spend your full day of fun, the Baja Restaurant is perfect for all. Just a few steps away, enjoy a full dinner menu, indoor/outdoor seating, lawn games and even live music on summer evenings.
