Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How can I pay for the vacation rental?

Siebert Realty has a variety of payment options. We accept personal checks through our electronic E-Check feature for reservations at least 10 days out, and personal checks via mail if arrival time is at least 30 days out. We also accept cashier checks and money orders. You can pay via credit card (MC / VISA / DISCOVER / AMEX) through our 3rd party processing company.

For more payment information, please make sure to view details in your lease as well as our Guest Net once you book a beach home or condo.

  2. Do you offer Travel Insurance?

Yes! Siebert Realty does offer a travel insurance plan that protects your investment from unforeseen circumstances that prohibit you from being able to come on vacation or cause you to leave abruptly. There is even protection for lost luggage, auto accidents, and job loss and much more.

Many people think that travel insurance is just for weather related interruptions. The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of claims are for medical related issues that certainly were not planned for by the guests

This is an optional line item on your lease. Please view the policy brochure online from Generali Travel Insurance for complete details of the coverage.

  3. What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?

If you need to cancel a reservation, whether payment has been made or not, please contact our rental department at 877-422-2200. Further details will be provided based on your specific reservation and cancellation time frame.

  8. When and how do I check in?

Check-in time is at 4pm. To ensure a smooth arrival, please keep an eye out for an email or text the week before your arrival date. This message will include important details about how to obtain the code for keyless entry (available in many of our rental homes), as well as information about Wi-Fi and other useful tips.

If your rental property does not have keyless entry or if you are checking in at one of our condos, you will receive an email the week prior to your arrival date instructing you to come to our rental office at 601 Sandbridge Road. Here, you will receive a Check-In Packet containing your keys and helpful information about the area.

We want to make your arrival as stress-free as possible, so during the summer months we extend our office hours until 6pm on Saturdays to accommodate later arrivals. For those who arrive after hours, our lobby is open 24/7 year-round for your convenience.

  9. When and how do I check out?

Please note that the latest check-out time is 10am. Guests with keyless entry can check out via the app. If your rental home requires a key, please return it to our rental office at 601 Sandbridge Road before 10am on the day of your departure. You can drop the key in the Key Drop Box located in our 24/7 lobby.

The day before your departure, you will receive an email and/or text message with our check-out steps and important information. We want to make sure your departure is as smooth as possible, so please keep an eye out for this message.

  10. Why go to Sandbridge Beach?

Sandbridge Beach, the premier vacation beach located in Southern Virginia Beach, is a perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Guests of Sandbridge can expect to visit a large, expansive beach while staying in a rental that has all the comforts of home. From sunbathing, surfing, kayaking and fishing, to bird watching and taking strolls down the beach, Sandbridge provides the ultimate memorable vacation. It's even just a short drive to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Check out more about the area by visiting our Local Attractions page and Secrets of Sandbridge.

  11. What is a Seawall?

Seawalls are wooden, concrete, or steel structures built along some oceanfront lots to hold back the encroachment of the sea. If high tides or strong coastal conditions ever limit the size of usable beach in front of your rental, Sandbridge offers two public guarded beaches located at 2500 Sandfiddler Road (as you enter Sandbridge) and Little Island Park at the south end (3700 block).

  12. Where are beach access points?

The City of Virginia Beach provides access to the beach via walkways or stairs along the oceanfront (where beach conditions allow). Not all oceanfront properties have their own private beach access: therefore in some areas, it may be necessary to walk several lots up or down the beach to gain access. The following pairs of oceanfront addresses are on either side of a public access stair or path to the beach.

  13. How are rental locations listed on Siebert-Realty.com?

Our web site defaults to displaying Oceanfront rentals first, then Semi Oceanfront, and so on... gradually moving away from the ocean. Each section is in geographical order, starting at the northend (2200 block) and ending at the southend (3600 block). If you are looking for two rentals side by side... keep in mind that addresses increase by 4. Example: 3200 & 3204 Sandfiddler Road are rentals next door to each other.
